“I have struggled with and eating disorder for over 23 years, drifting in and out of therapy as the whim struck me. Early in 2009, I had to admit to myself that if I continued down the path I was on, at worst I would literally die and at best my life would be a life un-lived. I have heard the proverb ‘When the student is ready, the teacher will appear’. Now that I have an experiential understanding of that proverb. thanks to Dr. Ehrlich, I would like to modify it to fit my circumstances: ‘When the patient is ready, the healer will appear.’

I chose the word ‘Healer’ because it more precisely describes what Dr. Ehrlich is. According to Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary (www.iword.com), the definition of the word “physician” is as follows: a person skilled in the art of healing; specifically: one educated. clinically experienced and licensed to practice medicine. Dr. Ehrlich is most certainly all of these things, but his capability extends far beyond what that definition connotates. His astute clinical skills, his sincerely offered ear and perspicacious advice are responsible for the serene and healthy path I am now traveling along.

Somewhere deep within myself, I know that this journey is the one to genuine recovery that I have desired for so long. When I became cognizant that I was gaining true physical, mental and spiritual health for the first time in my life, I had to ask myself “What is different about my approach?” The only–the pivotal difference–was my choice to add Dr. Ehrlich and his specific application of naturopathic medicine and acupuncture to my treatment plan. Thank you, Dr. Ehrlich for all that you have done, do and will do!”
